Italian Seasoned Turkey Burgers


  • 1 lb. 93% lean ground turkey
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp. black pepper
  • ~16 Kalamata olives, halved
  • 8 Tbsp part-skim grated fresh mozzarella
  • 4 whole wheat hamburger buns
  • ½ - 1 cup fresh spinach leaves (optional)


  1. Preheat grill to medium high.
  2. Place Italian seasoning, black pepper, and ground turkey in a large bowl. Combine gently.
  3. Divide turkey mixture into 8 equal portions; flatten into patties. Tip: Spray counter surface with cooking oil to prevent patties from sticking.
  4. Place an equal amount of cheese and olives in the center of 4 patties. Cover with the remaining patties and pinch the edges closed.
  5. Place stuffed patties on the grill. Turn once while cooking. Burgers are cooked when a thermometer inserted in the center reads 165º F (approximately 8-10 minutes).
  6. Serve each burger on a bun with spinach leaves if desired.
