Clinical Departments at Brookside Community Health Center

Founded in 1970 and licensed by Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), Brookside Community Health Center provides affordable care to patients from Jamaica Plain and throughout the city of Boston in a friendly, patient-centered environment. Our physicians care for over 11,000 patients each year in adult medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, family planning, dentistry and oral surgery, nutrition, and behavioral health and social services.

Under the medical direction of Cynthia So-Armah, MD and executive leadership of Margaret (Mimi) Jolliffe, FNP, MPH, our team provides high quality, multidisciplinary health care to members of the Boston community, regardless of their ability to pay. Our staff works in teams of primary care physicians, pediatricians, dentists, RNs, LPNs, medical assistants and practice assistants to provide comprehensive care to the entire family. We collaborate with a wide variety of on-site specialists including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, addiction counselors, community resource specialists, population health managers, a domestic violence advocate, , community health workers, nutritionists, midwives, an obstetrician-gynecologist, a pulmonologist, and a cardiologist.

Offering free nutrition education, supplemental food, breastfeeding education and peer counselor support and health and social services referrals for Massachusetts residents who meet income requirements. Weekly Baby Café for Breastfeeding education and support with a certified lactation specialist.
