The Managed Care Department assists patients with managing the referral process. We work with patients to schedule a specialist appointment when advised by a primary care provider. If required, we ensure an insurance referral or prior authorization is in place prior to the specialist appointment. As a part of the Brigham system, we primarily refer patients to:
- Other Brigham and Women's Hospital locations
- Faulkner Hospital
- Boston Children's Hospital
- Mass Eye and Ear Institute.
