Brookside has switched to a new medical records system!  

The entire Brigham and Womens Hospital system is now operating in Epic, which will be a great step towards better patient care.  This transition is a big adjustment, so please be patient with us during this change.  If you have any questions about what this means for your Brookside experience, feel free to give us call! 

General Information

Brookside Community Health Center, one of two health centers licensed by Brigham and Women's Hospital, provides multi-disciplinary, comprehensive care with services in the following areas:

  • Adult medicine
  • Pediatrics
  • Obstetrics/Gynecology (including midwifery)
  • Family planning
  • Dentistry and Oral Surgery
  • Nutrition/WIC
  • Mental Health and Social Services. 

Each year, more than 11,000 patients from Jamaica Plain and the city of Boston use these services, making more than 69,000 visits to Brookside each year. The health center's services are provided by a bilingual English/Spanish medical and professional staff. Brookside is moving towards becoming a certified Patient Centered Medical Home, which will reinforce our long-standing values.

Brookside is a teaching site for Harvard Medical School, Mass General Institute of Nursing, Harvard Dental School, Smith College School of Social Work, Boston University School of Social Work, Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology, as well as other Boston area health care professional programs.
