Client Service Specialists are available to handle all questions and concerns regarding laboratory services. The Client Service Specialist is the direct link between the client and all areas of the clinical laboratories. Experienced representatives are able to quickly respond to your requests for test information, patient result information, or supplies. Our courier service provides regular scheduled pickups customized to your individual needs. Couriers are equipped with the necessary materials to ensure proper transport of specimens in compliance with the Department of Transportation guidelines. Courier service is also available to accommodate STAT pickups. To request changes to your scheduled pickups, call client services at (617) 525-7176. Requests for STAT courier pickups should be directed to the Laboratory at (617) 732-9841.
The Clinical Pathology Laboratories, unless specifically stated under the description of each laboratory, accepts consultations in all areas of clinical pathology for second opinions on the following:
Referral for patients for special procedures (i.e. transfusion medicine in concert with primary medical care team)
For general assistance with the performance and interpretation of all laboratory testing
For each laboratory, there is a clinical pathology resident on call who should be contacted directly via the Partners Paging system for inquiries about consultations and how to send materials or refer patients.
