Let the doctor come to you with our Second Opinions

About Virtual Second Opinions

How Virtual Second Opinions Can Help You

It is standard medical practice to seek a second opinion, especially when faced with a new diagnosis or treatment plan. After you and your doctor register for Second Opinions and send your health information, your Brigham provider will send a consultation back in about a week.

For 200 years, patients have traveled to Boston to get some of the best care in the world. Now you can access the expertise of Brigham providers from the comfort of your home.

Many patients with complex medical questions or concerns may be looking for answers, alternatives, or peace of mind. If you are unsure about your treatment plan, have symptoms that have not been explained, or have been diagnosed with a life-changing illness, an online second opinion can help. After you and your doctor register for Second Opinions and send your health information, a Brigham provider will send a consultation back in about a week. Cases that include imaging interpretations or biopsies reviews may take about 10 business days.
